Item Propuesta de un centro de distribución satélite para la entrega de productos Bavaria en la Unidad de Venecia, a cargo de la empresa Distribuciones BallenPena-Mosquera, Diego-Said; Hernandez-Gomez, Juan-Antonio; Rodríguez Vásquez, William CamiloThe importance of logistics in commercial operations is increasing, as the delivery time must be less than the cost of this operation. The intrinsic characteristics of the products and service can be easily replicated today, so additional elements such as delivery can become determining factors in a purchase decision. The logistics, storage, distribution and inventory management tasks must be included. Depending on the type and size of the company, logistics can connect different areas within an organization, or to different external suppliers responsible for performing each of these tasks in a timely manner. Within the tasks of logistics, transport, included in the distribution tasks, can be the face of the company before the customer, that is why the area or company in charge of this task meets the highest standards of security to guarantee the integrity of the merchandise and customer service since it can be the only point of contact with the consumer throughout the chain. The development of this research aims to optimize the way in which Distribuciones Ballen distributes the products of Bavaria S.A. in the Venice Unit south of the City of Bogotá.
