    Oportunidades comerciales entre Colombia e India

    The objective of this document is to identify commercial opportunities between Colombia and India. For this, a descriptive investigation was developed. First, a diagnosis was made of the evolution of the commercial relationship between the two countries in the period between 2010 and 2019, in which it was found that the main exports from Colombia to India continue to belong to the mining- energy sector. On the other hand, there was growth in the non-mining energy sector, which grew thanks to the industrial sector. Exports from India to Colombia have grown by 63.2% during the 2010- 2019 period, the ten main products imported by Colombia represent 47% of the total imported value and are concentrated in nine tariff items. Second, the sector or sectors with the greatest potential for commercial exchange in both countries were identified, showing that the items with the best commercial opportunities belong to mineral fuels, mineral oils and their distillation products, followed by the copper sector and its manufactures. then there are the manufactures of wood, charcoal and wood and the foundry, iron and steel sector; The products most demanded by Colombia from India are tubes and hollow profiles, which represent an annual growth rate of 454%. Finally, an analysis of the most relevant factors of the business culture of the Asian country was carried out, thus showing that India has a wide cultural diversity in the negotiation processes
