Tourism in recent years has had an active representation in Colombia, thanks to the physical diversity that the country has, Colombia has been able to develop different types of tourism depending on the region or destination, in this case in the Municipality of Sopó, located in the department of Cundinamarca, bordering on the savanna of Bogotá (Capital City) given its physical characteristics, mostly natural, seeks to implement a tourism development extolling these qualities, under a sustainable development, which has a minimal negative impact and on the contrary be favorable for the destination in natural, cultural, social and economic aspects. Likewise tourism itself is too broad therefore has different types and these in turn have different modalities for its implementation; with a research process it is inferred that the municipality of Sopó thanks to its natural, social, cultural and economic characteristics is able to develop the "Cyclotourism", a tourist modality that aims to combine the practice of an autonomous physical exercise as a way of transport with tourism, which will allow tourists to have a more direct contact with the environment and the destination in which they practice. Bearing in mind that the municipality of Sopó has natural characteristics, there is a need to be able to develop nature tourism in this destination and one of the best ways to achieve it is through a tourism modality such as cyclotourism, as a result makes the proposal of a nature route focused on bicycle tourism, thus generating a tourist potential in this municipality.
