Munoz-Tanimuca, Diana Mallerly; Montoya-Garcia, Liz Daniela; Gonzalez-Llorente, Valeria Andrea; Ariza-Matamoros, Liz Katherine
The purpose of this research project is to determine the causes behind the increase in employee turnover at Diane & Geordi, a company located in Bogotá, in the year 2022. The objective is to design a proposal that complements the current organizational wellbeing plan, based on identified grievances and areas for improvement in order to reduce the impact of employee turnover. It is understood that the implementation of a workplace wellbeing program improves the quality of life for employees, encompassing their professional, personal, and social development. To develop the proposal, the results of job satisfaction surveys conducted among the operational and administrative staff of the organization are analyzed, aiming to measure key variables of this project: organizational wellbeing and minimizing the level of employee turnover. Additionally, interviews were conducted with former employees who resigned, aiming to identify the main factors that influenced their decision regarding workplace wellbeing. The areas identified for improvement in terms of organizational wellbeing strategies include career promotion and growth within the organization (career plan), rewards and recognition for efforts made, policies, and procedures. Based on these findings, a proposal for an organizational wellbeing plan with strategies to address the mentioned issues causing high employee turnover has been developed.
