Del límite rígido al espacio fluido. La simultaneidad (visual y recorrido) en la reinterpretación del espacio fluido de Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
Galeano Cuartas Laura Valentina; Ayala Quimbay Monica Alejandra; Jaramillo Acosta Laura Marcela; Pizo Escalante Karen Sofia
The research addresses the interaction between visual continuity and circulation as variables that support the configuration of fluid spaces under the notion of simultaneity. To this end, three objectives are proposed: (1) to categorize the typologies of circulation and the levels of visual continuity present in selected architectural projects; (2) to evaluate how pertinent and effective these resources are in the configuration of fluid spaces; and (3) to reinterpret the identified patterns in order to propose new design alternatives that enhance this spatial quality. This study not only seeks to analyze and categorize relationships but also aims to propose design strategies and/or criteria that promote spatial fluidity based on the experience of seeing and moving simultaneously through diverse spaces. This relationship is intended to be made evident through the development of a gastronomic center and market plaza in the La Macarena neighborhood, currently Plaza de la Perseverancia. The interest in this intervention arises from the prior identification of opportunities for improvement in the pre-existing architectural element.
