    The current investigation document is a study of the general conditions related with the importance of the private and public investment resources in economic, commercial and touristic activity in the Chocó department. The investigations take as reference the Cluster model by Cristina Varisco which indicates that is possible to improve life quality of people through local development and productive agglomerations to increase investment and potentiate the economy, productivity levels and tourist offer. For the development of this investigation we focus in a qualitative and descriptive analysis, doing a documental study and analysing categories such as production, socio-territorial organization, value chain, levels of tourist interaction, investment, public-private resources and tourist activity in the Chocó department. The information above allows to propose strategies that promote secure and innovate sustainable tourism taking in advance the greatness and diversity of this natural resources and manage properly the financial resources to get the Chocó department known in an international level and the tourism sector be one of the principals and biggest sources of incomes and educative, economic, commercial and social development for Chocó.
