Item La relación entre forma y programa como un catalizador social en un equipamiento deportivo y cultural en el barrio La HortuaEdwin Andres Juez MartinezThis research explores the relationship between architectural form and program of activities in the design of cultural and sports facilities, based on the understanding that human activity acts as a driving force for the appropriation and transformation of built space. Within the framework of the Comprehensive Proximity Project PIP-CNH-05 “Great Axis of Vitality, Neighborhood, and Care La Hortúa,” this work proposes the repurposing of the Eduardo Santos Coliseum in the Santa Isabel neighborhood of Bogotá as a multipurpose hub capable of adapting to varying uses over time. Through an analysis of relevant examples the Seattle Central Library, the Virgilio Barco Library, the Chapinero Community Center, and the SESC Guarulhos Sports Center and a field study of the surrounding area, flexibility strategies were established that allow for the articulation of open spaces where form acts as material support and where adaptability emerges as a dynamic equilibrium between structural adequacy and programmatic diversification. The project's outcome articulates a zigzag implementation, a configuration of grouping volumetric pieces, and a contingent of conceptual filters (experience, character, adaptability) that make the facility a living infrastructure, capable of responding to intergenerational rhythms and the care dynamics of the sector.
