This project seeks to propose applicable ICT tools that can improve competitiveness in SMEs in the industrial, commercial and service sectors with the help of the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) since SMEs have become one of the most significant productive sectors for the Colombian economy thanks to its contribution to economic growth in the country. Colombia is a country whose economy, thanks to the help provided by SMEs, together with micro-enterprises, represent 90% of business development and that generate 73% of employment and 53% of gross production. To better understand how an ICT can improve the competitiveness of SMEs, a specific analysis must be carried out of how SMEs evolve, what are their main sources of financing, which sectors are more competitive, how they are subdivided and to end up collecting the problems that delay these companies to be competitive in the market. In the second instance, following the same structure, an analysis is made of which are currently the ICTs that generate competitiveness in SMEs, their costs, importance and obviously for which situations these ICTs would serve. Finally, in the third chapter, a matrix was generated that recapitulates the problems presented in chapter 1 along with the tools that may possibly solve these problems and how the financing of this technology will allow SMEs to be more competitive in Colombian territory.
