Análisis del acuerdo para la protección y promoción de la inversión entre la república de Colombia y el reino de España
Delgado Yopasa, Jose Daniel; Guayara Ospina, Natali; Hidalgo Medina, Karen Vanessa; Ulloa, Cristian Samir
The present work is based on an analysis of the FDI between the Republic of Colombia and the Kingdom of Spain based on the Agreement for the promotion and protection of investments in force since 2007 which protects and promotes investment between both countries by providing opportunities to increase and improve their economic relations; it seeks to identify the structure and function of the agreement, to show which sectors have been most benefited, their behavior and participation between 2006 and 2016, finally showing a case of direct foreign investment from Colombia to Spain and Spain to Colombia. It is concluded from the analyzed period that: since the validity of the APPRI between Spain and Colombia, the relations between both countries and their companies have been promoted and strengthened, where the economic sectors most benefited in Colombia are finance, insurance, oil extraction and natural gas companies such as BBVA, Mapfre Seguros, Natural Gas and Codensa; in the opposite direction in Spain sectors of the wholesale intermediate trade, furniture activities, graphic arts and the textile received greater participation of investment with companies like Totto, Dignus, Juan Valdez and Leonisa.
