    The central objective of this degree work is analyze the trade implications of the creation of the Special Permanent Free Zones regarding the Permanent Free Zones in Colombia since the year 2013 – 2018. The development of this degree work the mixed research method is used. First of all,the characterization of the types of Free Zones , also the main requirements for its declaration, analyzing from its beginnings which were the main Free Zones in the country also its location and the growth have had over the past few years. Was made a comparison of the commercial operations of both imports and exports of the Special Permanent Free Zones and the Permanent Free Zones , it was determined which is the type of Free Zone that presents more value in the operations, regarding regarding to the commercial flows which resulted in the Special Permanent Free Zones having a great advantage over the Permanent Free Zones because in the Special Permanent Free Zones , Are located , large companies, which are dedicated to industrial processing, machinery, capital goods, plant and equipment with more quantity in the country. Finally, were classified, The types of existing Free Zone users to recognize the different functions of each one, using around 700 thousand data from DANE was used to compile both the number of operations and the monetary value, the results were that the greater number of operations carried out in this period are the imports since Colombia imports more than it exports.
