    Normas fitosanitarias e inocuidad de la carne bovina como obstáculos técnicos en la exportación a Estados Unidos

    This project is meant to identify and analyze strategies used by two Latin-American countries, Brazil and Uruguay, which are very successful at exporting beef meat and have entered to important markets like the American one. In addition, this research pretends to give some advice so the Colombian livestock sector can improve its self-image and can also enter to more markets like in the United States, country which Colombia has a FTA with. This is a descriptive research and therefore, it is supported by other researches carried in Colombia, as well as in Brazil and Uruguay; in those researches, it is being described the beef meat process, the positive and negative aspects in it, and the market of each country. The results after the analysis show the weaknesses and strengths Colombia has, and also, they are a reference point to suggest needed changes in order to be successful at beef meat export to the United States specifically.
