This degree project presents the applications of technologies 4.0 in logistics processes, the benefits and advantages that this may represent for a country and therefore for companies within the economic context to increase production potential. The project took Michael Porter’s theory called competitive advantage to explain the importance of implement new technologies in every link of the logistic processes, so that they strengthen the supply chains and the different logistics nodes. for research were taken as a reference a series of documents that support the theory of Porter and provide tools and mechanisms to understand the necessity to combat the challenges that are present day by day within the logistic scope. Is made a general review and comparison between Colombia, Mexico and Panama analyzing variables that allow them to have an efficient logistic service and allow them to enter the ranking of logistics performance worldwide, are identified bottlenecks that exist or have existed over time that somehow delay logistics operations and hinder the recognition in the sector; with the understanding that Colombia needs public sector support and focus in all matters related to investment in technology, infrastructure and knowledge, in this way ensures that a good or product reaches the buyer with the best conditions costs and has process integrity.
