    At present the company ABS Cromosol LTDA. The process of chromium plating for ABS plastic parts (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and polycarbonate is an economic activity. which manages a low standard of production and quality, an incorrect layout, every day the competition is stronger and the demands to stay within the market are focused to the satisfaction of customers who increasingly become stricter and look for costs low, but with an optimum level of efficiency in order to achieve a high level of satisfaction. With the foregoing, we want to apply the knowledge that has been learned throughout the career in the daily life of ABS Cromosol and to be able to show how the industrial engineering manages to contribute to the improvement of the processes. What is intended with this project is to implement the Lean manufacturing philosophy that benefits the company ABS Cromosol in factors of production, standardization in the quality and a better distribution in plant with help of tools and the due knowledge Acquired. Currently the management chooses to look for alternatives of improvement that are based on a better functioning and development of the Organization, at the moment the company has certain failures that cause unbalance in deliveries and consequent loss of customers due to failures in previous administrations, for these reasons very low indicators are obtained. In the last five years of having installed the pre-electrolytic production line a contract was obtained with the company EBEL and as a result of this we noticed the different failures in the different sectors of the company. xii This project documents a before and an improvement posed through the philosophy Lean manufacturing including tools like the Kaizen, the SMED, the 5s and Layout with the purpose of being a more competitive and profitable company, improving from the inside of this and Everything that is necessary for the customer to be satisfied with the results of your order.
