Cadena Productiva del Café en Colombia
Bermudez Ballen, Monica Alejandra; Nuncira Cervantes, Wilson Alonso
The objective of this research is to describe and identify the productive chain of the Colombian coffee sector, established and formalized since the breaking of the world coffee pact, in order to analyze and understand its sustainability in the international market. To achieve the established objectives, a brief investigation was made about the productive chain of the Colombian coffee sector, describing the organizations and institutions that constitute it, determining the functions of each one of them; complementing it with analysis in variables of production, employment and exports, and a comparison between exports and the price of the Colombian soft at the international level in order to establish its behavior, from the breaking of the pact in 1989 to the year 2017. The investigation showed as a result that the productive chain of coffee in recent decades has been strengthened and consolidated in the international market in a favorable manner, a situation that allows us to infer that this chain has played an important role in cushioning the ups and downs of the price of coffee. on an international level.
