    Impacto de la Gestión Integrada de Riesgos en el Éxito de Proyectos Ágiles en Cundinamarca

    Abstract This article analyzes the relationship between integrated risk management and the success of agile projects carried out by organizations in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia. The research problem stems from the fact that, according to the Standish Group (2020), only 31% of technology projects achieve full success, while a considerable share present deviations in scope, time, or cost, or fail completely, a situation that worsens in agile environments, where the flexibility of the life cycle can create in teams a false sense of security that underestimates the need for formal risk management. The general objective was to analyze this relationship based on the principles of the PMBOK Guide, 7th edition (Project Management Institute [PMI], 2021). Methodologically, the study adopted a quantitative approach, a correlational scope, and a postpositivist paradigm; a five-level Likert questionnaire was designed for professionals who execute agile projects in public and private organizations in Cundinamarca, validated through expert judgment and a pilot test, with a target of at least 40 participants. Because the instrument's application is still underway, this document presents, for illustrative purposes only and simulated over that same sample size, results that exemplify the type of findings expected when processing the information in IBM SPSS Statistics through descriptive statistics and Pearson or Spearman correlation coefficients. The simulated results suggest a positive, moderate-to-high association between the four risk management dimensions assessed and the perceived success of the project, particularly in risk response planning. It is concluded, preliminarily, that the formal integration of PMI risk processes within agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban would be a relevant factor for improving project performance in the Colombian context, and practical recommendations are proposed for organizations in the region, pending confirmation with real data.
