Item Oportunidad comercial para la exportación de mariposas en estado de pupa desde Colombia hacia Estados UnidosAgudelo Zea, Yeimy Tatiana; Briñez Barrero, Jonathan Camilo; García Castiblanco, Claudia PaolaAt present, new ideas have been created to establish economic income by reasonably and sustainably exploiting biological resources and one of these focuses on the productive management of biodiversity. The interest that the butterflies cause must go beyond observing them in decorative paintings or of preserving them for collection. Colombia is a country that enjoys a high richness in biodiversity of fauna and flora, butterflies are part of that wealth of more than 15,000 species and with potential to be exported. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to identify the improvements that Colombia must make to increase its export of butterflies to the United States. In the main results it has been found that Colombia, despite its wide natural wealth, there are not many business associations willing to work on the criticism and reproduction of butterflies with a view to responding. The commercial opportunity for the export of butterflies in the state of pupa contributes with positive aspects such as: the generation of employment for rural areas, thus promoting a superior economic development and avoiding the migration of people from these areas to large cities. For these and other reasons, a respective investigation is made as to the commercial opportunity for the export of butterflies in pupal status to the United States.
