El cuento como mediador en la resolución de conflictos. Un estudio de caso con estudiantes de grado séptimo del Colegio Agustiniano Suba

Abstract

The present investigation was developed in the Agustiniano Suba School, whose objective was to analyze and approach the conflict from an innovative methodology, understanding the adverse situations as an opportunity where the student can express their emotions and feelings by using the narrative, through the story as a tool to communicate through another language and thus facilitate the child's approach to strategies to solve their difficulties. This is achieved through the creation of characters that share their situation to translate reality into a fictitious context, allowing the student to take distance and thus expand their analysis and understanding of the situation to achieve mediation. In this research we can observe a qualitative approach developed under a case study research methodology, where 10 children with and without problems of the seventh grade had participated. The collection of the information was done through the use of three instruments, which were a diagnostic survey, an instrument for reflection and a tool for the analysis of the stories. The findings we can see that often the student cannot express what they want and through the story they can give possible solutions to conflicts through the recognition of their role and assertive communication with their partners to get mediation.
