El emprendimiento solidario: una alternativa empresarial para enfrentar los desafíos de la globalización en el siglo XXI
Resumen
El concepto de emprendimiento tiene varias interpretaciones, y una de ellas es la del emprendedurismo, que significa la opción de hacer empresa; sin embargo, el problema no solo radica en crear empresa, sino en hacer posible que esta sea sostenible y perdurable en el tiempo. Para lograr esto es necesario explorar y entender otros modelos existentes para hacer empresa y que, a la vez, puedan apalancar su crecimiento y permanencia en el tiempo. Este artículo se refiere precisamente a un modelo que se denomina empresas de economía solidaria; para ello, expone los beneficios de crear empresa y aborda algunas consideraciones que la hagan rentable, eficiente y productiva, desde el modelo de empresas solidarias. De este modo, se contraría la creencia común de que este tipo de empresas son entidades de beneficencia o mecanismos de caridad para administrar la pobreza.
Abstract
The concept of entrepreneurship has several interpretations. One of them is entrepreneurialism that means the option of doing business. However, the problem lies in establishing a business and in making it sustainable and long-lasting. To achieve this, it is necessary to explore and understand other existing models of doing business, which, at the same time, can leverage its growth and permanence. This article refers precisely to a model called solidarity economy enterprises; in this way, it disclosures the benefits of creating business and addresses some considerations to make it profitable, efficient and productive from the model of solidarity enterprises. Thus, the common belief that these type of businesses are charitable mechanisms to manage poverty is refuted.
